Why We Built This Site
New Jersey uses separate systems for municipal cases, indictable Superior Court matters, police reports, county bookings, state custody, and fingerprint-linked history. Hudson County adds another practical split because the criminal court, file counter, Sheriff's Office, and county jail are not one office. We bring the verified phone numbers, public counters, official search portals, fees, and request steps together while keeping each record tied to its true custodian.
What You Will Find Here
- Record guides: ways to locate and read Hudson County criminal court cases
- Official review routes: how NJSP name-based products differ from fingerprint review of your own record
- Agency contacts: where Hudson courts, local police, Corrections, and state systems receive requests
- Record cleanup information: how New Jersey expungement works and where the Judiciary accepts filings
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a New Jersey court, police department, sheriff, or state agency. Those limits mean:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file expungement petitions, records requests, or any other paperwork on your behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that an agency phone number, fee, address, or procedure has not changed
An official copy must come from the court, police agency, Hudson County Corrections, or New Jersey State Police that maintains the original record.
Search Partners
Outside providers power some search boxes. They control their prices, data practices, and results. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports site operation. We do not set the provider's fee or decide which records its tool returns.
